Natural Ventilation > Natural Extract Operable Roof Louvre
This unit is available with press formed aluminium blades or glazed blades for
light transmission. Operation is by pneumatic or electric actuators with fire
set fusible link local release as required. For daily ventilation only 230vac
actuators are available
but for combined Smoke / Daily ventilation 24vdc actuators would be specified.
Applications: As a daily ventilator only, these units would mostly be used
for large industrial or commercial buildings where high heat gains in
summer are expected. The operating systems can be fitted with rain detectors
or interfaced with BMS systems. All natural extract systems require an equal
volume of fresh inlet air to be admitted at low level if they are to function
effectively. The daily
ventilation is often provided as a low cost addition to a smoke ventilation
system.
Natural Ventilation > Roof Louvre with weathered side ventilation
Using this ventilator the high heat situation in summer, is dealt with by opening
and closing the top louvre section, as stated for the TMS-D louvre. In the
cooler periods and when it is raining the top louvre is closed and a lower
level of
ventilation is provided by the side ventilators. These may also have
controlled damper operation. Typical Applications: These units are also often
specified as natural extractors in conjunction with mechanical air inlet or
air conditioning systems.
Here the treated inlet air is powered into the building and allowed to escape
via the side wing ventilators. The even distribution required for smoke extract
/ fire ventilation assists in the design of such systems. Mechanical extract
can therefore be eliminated leading to capital and operating cost savings.
Also Suitable for Smoke ventilation and special purpose applications.
Natural Ventilation > Natural Extract Operable Wall Louvre
This is the Vertical version of the TMS-D Roof Louvre. Typical Applications:
The Wall louvre is mostly used as a low level air inlet to provide replacement
air for natural daily ventilation systems or for smoke
extract systems. It is also used in Jack Roof Constructions or in the side
walls of glazed atria roofs where it operates as an extract unit. Some form
of controlled operating system may be required to close louvres in wind effected
areas to prevent back-drafting. Also suitable for Smoke/ Fire Ventilation.
Natural Ventilation > High Quality Extruded Aluminium Roof Louvre
This is similar to the TMSD roof louvre but has flat interlocking extruded aluminium
blades. This results in a stronger more Architectural product with high performance
seals to minimise air leakage. Typical applications: Used where Architectural
appearance is important and where higher levels of sealing and insulation are
required, to comply with new UK
Building regulations. Also suitable for Smoke/ Fire Ventilation.
Natural Ventilation > Curved Extruded Aluminium Roof Louvre
This is similar to the NKV-T extruded aluminium Roof louvre but is mounted on
a curved base. Typical Applications: This louvre is specifically designed to
allow neat and unobtrusive installation into continuous dome-light constructions.
Also suitable for Smoke/ Fire Ventilation.
Natural Ventilation > Extruded Aluminium Roof louvre w/Weathered side Vent
Specification generally as for NKV-T Roof ventilator but with the addition of
two fully weathered side wings. The side wing ventilators are available in
150mm or 300mm sizes that can be continuously open or fitted with dampers to
close
off the air flow. Also suitable for Smoke
Extract Ventilation and special purpose applications.
